I was always fascinated by stained glass....the colors seem to come alive when the sun hits the pieces.  A few years ago I had the opportunity  to pursue this interest.   I took stained glass classes, read everything I could find and completed an internship with a local artist.

What began as a hobby has turned into a passion.  Glass Creations 4u was developed to let you experience the real beauty of hand crafted stained glass.  

The process of making hand crafted stained glass is very painstaking. First, different colors and textures of glass are selected.  Then a pattern is traced onto the different glass pieces.  The pieces are then carefully cut out and the edges are ground smooth.  Copper foil is then applied  to all the edges of the glass.  This allows the solder to adhere to it.  After all the seams have been joined, the solder is often given a patina finish.  The final steps are attaching a chain for display and putting a coat of wax on the glass for protection.  Hand crafted stained glass is not a simple process...but the results are unbelievable!
